Abstract

|
In this paper, we provide a summarized review of recent research activities in developing scanningprotocols and image reconstruction algorithms for low-dose computed tomography after introducing abrief background. In addition to a variety of clinical approaches that have been or are under active researchfor low-dose CT, we describe three fundamental approaches that are categorized based onphysical insights: region-of-interest imaging, sparse-view imaging, and low-tube-current scanningmethod.
